I posted a vid not too long ago of the TXS on my G. Here is another vid of it on a Z with testpipes that sounds a little better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1w-49A-jmg (go to 1:02 in the vid). I agree that it sounds very raspy but I'm willing to live with it for the noticeable power gains over my previous setup .

ya, that black z is the one i saw. he has another video of it pulling out of a shop or something. and just sounds really bad.

in that vid with the MS6 didnt sound too bad though. i was just seeing if anyone else had a video with different test pipes or even HFC's.

thanks for the help though

I have strup headers/test pipes installed and a Turbo XS exhaust that should be here this week.

I am sure it will be very loud and raspy but I am going to try adding a muffler or resonator to smooth it out a bit and quiet it down.

It comes down to the fact that I need it for the power reasons on my supercharged Z.

I have turboXS exhaust and AAM non resonated TPs. I had a resonating vibration sound at low rpm that I could not eliminate, so I removed the testpipes, all tight new hardware, no leaks, no contact/interferences, just from resonating, sounded awful. Not sure what I will end up doing....

I have this sound also . Its very noticable when the A/C is on especially when its hot outside. I looked under the car and the midpipe is not hitting the m-brace (I have about .5-.75" clearence). So removing the test pipes did not cure the problem? Also how much space do you have between the m-brace & the midpipe? Thanks.

Oh, yes back to oem cats fixed the problem. I had nearly an inch between the brace and midpipe. I had a friend rev the motor as I observed and could find no contact then either. I made brackets to reinstall the bracket to support the TPs that had supported the oem cats and also mounted the oem exhaust weighted dampeners to the turboxs exhaust, nothing helped. I even tried putting my foot on the y pipe with some pressure on it and reved it and even then, no reduction in vibration, dang crazy. I thought for sure the brace and dampeners would fix it, but no such luck. Maybe I will try some type of dampener on the TPs and give it another try, or install them one at a time to see if one is worse than the other...
