I got one question to ask Tony.

Does Quietness = Loss of HP

I want to change my Greddy EvoTT exhaust with your dual 3" once its out.
Definitely looking for some thing quieter but not looking to lose HP either.

LMK once you need testers for FI application since I doubt I will be getting rid
of my Fast Intentions HFC and just looking for Cat Back unless you I understood you wrong in saying that you won't be releasing TP/HFC any time soon.

MRC is 45min from me, I'm willing to take the trip.

Not necessarily.
It just takes a bigger muffler to make it quiet and high flow at the same time.

Are you going to angle the mufflers on the dual system like HKS? I would love it that way.

I'm in the market for a dual exhaust system for my bone stock 06 G35 6MT. I'm waiting on your system at the moment before putting money on HKS.

Would you please give us some idea how it would look like?

Thanks,
JJ

Wow, the Shockwave exhausts sounds sweet and freakin' loud!

The MD VQ exhaust is more subtle but still sounds good.

He pulled me over for flooring it in 1st gear and claimed I was speeding. He stated he heard me flooring it from a distance.

Yet, the only thing I got a ticket for was my front plates

Ironic isn't it; he pulled me over for flooring it in first gear, then claims I was speeding (which I wasn't), doesn't even bother to check out the exhaust or look under the car, and I walk away with a front plate fix-it ticket

Regarding my exhaust:

It definately doesn't sound as loud as the Shockwave + Test pipe setup. But its definately louder than the MD VQ + Test Pipe setup. The Shockwave sounds alot more appealing to me. But it might be just a tad too loud for daily driving from the video Derek just posted.

Here's my video of the Fast Intentions exhaust + test pipe I made a while ago. It's a bad quality audio/video clip and it was a 40F night. The first "run" was a cruising run with about 40% throttle. The second run was WOT:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ScFmEKwlfT4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ScFmEKwlfT4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Henry, I don't think your exhaust is as loud as his. I like the sleeper style. Are you doing irwindale anytime soon?

His referring to whom and what exhaust setup?

I want to do Irwindale before school starts (Aug 25th), but this heat is making me think twice about it. Let me know if you ever head out to Irwindale.

The white Z (Shockwave + TP) is definately louder than mine. It seems to be louder than most setups I have heard for NA.

Regarding Irwindale...

I'll let you know by tommorow. I definately need to go before school starts. I hardly have time for anything when working & being a full time student

wow! that nismo sounds like sh@t before and after the XYZ hahaha

so much rasp...

tony, you were 100% right on about the fact that the resonator needed time to "break in"... it sounds COMPLETELY different today from when it did yesterday (and in that video)... so much smoother now, and the rasp is almost completely gone...

in fact i was so proud of the way the exhaust sounded today, that i gave two of my buddies a ride to show it off... they both loved it... one of them hates loud raspy exhausts, and he said that he loved the way it sounds... honestly if it wasnt for emissions laws i would keep it the way it is... i cant say enough good things about the XYZ with resonator...

im gonna have to make more videos i think...

+1 on that sounding like ****. I was expecting it to sound different but it sounded exactly the same before and after.

I gotta hear the "broken in resonator."
