When will you be posting pics of your True Dual exhaust?

I have pics of the prototype, but the prototypes arent very picture friendly. Once they come off the production line I'll post the pics.

EDIT:
Of all the systems, there will be Single, Dual, True Dual X and 3" True Dual.

Do you have a dyno shop available that also has a lift?

Would you be able to advise of an estimated gain with your Y pipe for someone that already has a Fujitsubo y-back exhaust?

This would be with your resonator and cat combo.

What is the difference between the Dual, and True Dual X? Does the Dual X just produce more power and different sound?

Would you like to do a pre/post dyno test?

Like a HP comparison of Test pipes Vs aftermarket Catalytic converters, the XYZ straight pipe Vs XYZ Catalytic converter does the same. There is about a 4 HP difference.

Do you currently have test pipes?
Are you currently using the Fuji Y pipe?

When the exhaust gasses are properly merged together, it doesn't matter what happens after the merge point as long as basic pressure drop is kept in check. The single, dual and true dual all pretty much make the same amount of power.

Functionally speaking, and based on all of my dyno testing, a good single exhaust is all that is needed. But many people like the symmetrical look of a dual exhaust. And this is very understandable. So a dual is offered.

And some people want a True Dual exhaust system. So it is also offered.

There will never be one kind of exhaust system that is universally liked by everybody. Everybody has a different want, need, budget, application and sound preference.

The Motordyne exhaust system(s) are made modular and interchangable to accomodate a very wide range of applications and sounds.

If you want it very loud to very quiet, this system will let you have it from both extremes and with anything in between.

Once again, it is also easy to switch from one sound extreme to the other in less than 5-10 minutes.

For example, the rear difuser section of the Shock Wave exhaust is one "V-band" clamp away from switching out with the VQ muffler.

The Shock Wave is far from being the loudest exhaust system in the Motordyne line up, but if you are feeling like a quiet ride on your way to work, you can clamp on the VQ rear muffler section.
And if you want to raise hell over the ZdayZ weekend, you can just as easily reconect the rear diffuser section of the Shock Wave.

Two totally different sounds can be changed with only one nut on a V-band clamp to turn.

These are only two mentioned so far. There are more that will be posted.
Cannister mufflers with spiral louver core or perforated cores for different flavors of sound. Even Titanium mufflers with serious bling factor.

Titanium pics will be posted next week.

It is kind of confusing. I need to see pictures of this exhaust mounted to a Z. I was wondering if I should change my y-pipe for something that will offer more flex so they will prevent my Berk HFCs from cracking.

With a XYZ pipe and associated catalytic converter module, you can use any set of regular test pipes. Any kind of test pipe you think won't crack.

Converter problem solved.

Very good.

Would you like to dyno compare a single exhaust against the HKS?

I will be sending out a Shock Wave exhaust and XYZ pipe on tour for dyno testing.

It will be greatly discounted if you would like to keep it on your car. In any case, I'll pay for the dyno.

Give me a PM and we'll set it up.

You might also want to give Julian a heads up too. I don't know if he views the forums any more.

Is there a difference in having only one cat as opposed to 2 like the stock setup in "cleaning" spent exhaust gasses? (Is one just as effective as two for environental/smog concerns?)

A good question was asked over on G35driver.

The resonator is not a catalytic converter, but yes.

You can install the XYZ and switch in or out any kind of module you like.
Even the XYZ catalytic converter.

These cars are too new to be concerned about it right now, but as they get older the stock cats will slowly wear out, lose catalytic efficency and the emissions will increase. Particularly if you have an oil burner.

If your car is on the edge of passing or failing emissions requirements... depending on what the problem is, an extra catalytic converter, in fresh condition, cleaning up the exhaust flow may just do the trick.
