Right on. I can appreciate that. (For me personally, I'm just the opposite.)
I love bling but I love the technical stuff even more.

But not to worry, I will get pics of the Titanium eyecandy posted soon. Ones I know you will like.

that one single straight pipe looking exhaust looks awesome! It reminds of of the buddy club spec 2 exhaust. If the price/gains are right, ill definitely pick that exhaust up.

I think it looks great. When driving around town with the prototypes it got a lot of looks and compliments.

It was funny because we have a lot of WRX/STI ricers in my town, and simply because I had a an exhaust that looked audacious with an attention demanding sound, they were giving me the .
And unlike before, they didn't throw out the usual challenges to race.

It's interesting how people can react so differently when you have an exhaust installed on the car.

I will also get pics of it installed. Both the single and dual. It looks bad ***.

I would have posted the pics already but I prefer to use actual production parts. The prototypes are a little rough around the edges. You probably wouldnt be able to notice the difference when installed on the car but it won't be much longer before production parts are ready.

The production parts look a lot cleaner.

Being able to move the cats further back would be a boon to us turbo guys that want to minimize backpressure right after the turbo. I'd be interested in dual 70 mm piping with a x-pipe/cat downstream... I have an evoTT with custom cats (3.5" in/out with a 200 cell metallic substrate) embedded into APS 3.5" test pipes and I still lost about 50 whp switching from straight test pipes.

Hope it happens!

EDIT: How do you handle the rear O2 sensors? Are they still placed post-cat?

I have a JIC 3.15" y-back exhaust. Will the XYZ and the resonator fit nicely with the JIC? Also, how much does the XYZ and cat weigh together. I currently have a Buddy club Titanium y-pipe. The power difference between that and the XYZ are going to likely need to be semi-significant to add weight to add power...

RCdash,

Will do.

There will be the ultimate dual FI exhaust system for the very high HP applications. This one will be saved for last.

After it comes out, it will have to be tested and compared for fitment and dyno results against all other FI exhaust systems on a very high HP Z or G.

It will fit very nicely with you JIC exhaust.
The XYZ pipe is stainless steel so it will weight more than your titanium y pipe.

How much does your titanium y pipe weigh?
Are you using test pipes, HFC's or stock cats?

First of all,
Im very excited to see the results.

Second, I want to know how this will affect my system, whether or not i will save weight or gain hp.

Here is what i have so far on my 07:
AAM test pipes,
AAM Y-pipe
AAM 3" single exhaust

Do you think i will see any noticeable gains?

Tony I am in the market for a new exhaust, and was about to purchase something else but now I would def rather wait for your product. Any ETA of when you still start taking orders?

Noticable yes, but don't expect it to be large.

If you already have a fully modified exhast system you will already have the majority of gains that can be made. So on that criteria alone, it may not be a justifiable change.

But if you are starting from a stock exhaust, or looking to get a new exhaust, then yes.

The modularity, system to system interchangability and the ability to easily change the sound or emissions is a high level of versatility that adds a completely new dimension to exhaust system enhancements.

Do you the xyz pipe would solve the problems of the rattling/rasp that many people including me experience with Greddy Evo 2 exhaust?

I am running stock cats. I would love to gut them.

The Titanium BC y-pipe is 11 pounds.

Thank you,

Tony

"oh i got the xyz pipe exhaust by motodyne"

lol

I hope you're racing on the track.

More hp usually means you're going to notice a difference in a race if you drive well.

If you're worried about what to say to other people asking about your mods, you're too juvenile for this discussion anyway.

I remember seeing a couple of pics before of both the single and dual tipped "diffusers" and they were angled correct? Also from testing, how much did the diffuser affect the powerband in comparison to regular canister style mufflers and the ones you will be offering??

I'm not familiar with the EVO2. Is it a single that conects to the Y pipe?

If it is, then yes. I'm sure it will help.

OK, yes. Because now you can use test pipes and still have the ability to use a catalytic converter.
The ability to easily switch to a catless system will give additional gains that exceed the HP/weight ratio of a titanium y pipe with HFC's.
