It hasn't been smog tested yet but I'm sure the results will be favorable.

2 as opposed to 1 should be similar. And for cleaning purposes, one is certaintly better than none.

So the secret exhast mod will bolt up to the xyz pipe? Would there be room for an additional resonator with this configuration?

Will pricing for the xyz pipe be announced on your website?

At this point, that particular part will not be sold publicly. Not yet at least. It has too much potential. Its being worked on a corporate level.

XYZ pricing will be posted on the website.

If its OK with you, I would also like to send you the ShockWave exhaust too. No obligations of any kind. Install the whole package to compare it against your current setup.

I know the JIC Ti single sounds really good so it would be a good opportunity to do a subjective sound comparison too.

Drive with it for a while to listen for any differences in drone, rasp, loudness, sound quality, etc.

Let me know if this works for you.

Tony

PS, are you running test pipes or stock cats?

another question:

i have nismo exhaust with hfc and the nismo y pipe

if i were to get your xyz pipe, it would replace my nismo y pipe and bolt up with the hfc on one end, and then i would add on the XYZ cats which would bolt up on the other end of the XYZ pipe?

how does this change the sound?

Need an independent tester again? We can do the whole mrc thing, i'm always in the area. Wouldn't mind doing the whole exhaust, especially if it is like last times deal as the mrev2 and spacer, lol.

Since you already have HFC's, you won't need the XYZ catalytic converter. The resonated XYZ will smooth out any rasp you may have though.

I would be game for testing the xyz pipe but it wont bolt on to my current midpipe & catback . Looking at its design I could see it easily making more power than other y-pipes because it relocates the cat under the car (and also by running 1 cat instead of 2).

Tony, you really, really, really need to develop a set of long tube headers to go with this setup .

I can't comp a whole system like the MREV2 testing, but maybe if you can meet up with Plumpzz, and both of you test it on the same day, that may work. We can work something out if you can test it.

This of course would take a lot of time and would require Julians approval.

BTW, what is your exhaust setup? Nismo? Anything else?

I would be VERY interested in testing this setup for you Tony on my HR with Berk HFCs and K&N filters. I've had HKS, EvoTT, JIC Ti single, and now a JIC dual tip, and I definitely noticed the most gains from the single. I would like to help you compare between the others.

Hey Tony, i currently have the Nismo catback exhaust with Berk HFC. I'm interested in the XYZ pipe with the resonator, but have you guys measured out the dimensions of the XYZ compared to other y-pipes?

I'm asking because I wouldn't want the pipe to push in/ or extend the nismo muffler depending on whether or not the XYZ pipe is shorter/longer than the nismo y-pipe.

Oh and BTW, do you need a tester for this here in SoCal?

Its the same length as the stock Y pipe.

As for testers, I won't need any more. There have been many offers through PM's.

Thanks,
Tony

Does the cat after the merge of the y pipe being so far down stream affect its effectiveness due to taking longer for the substrate to heat up, or even reach operating temperatures? Also, could you let us know the material and cell count of the substrate? Also, how worried should one be about damage to the cat as it's in a very unprotected area behind the Y.

Just some questions and concerns that popped into my head after viewing the post.
