Default POLISHED AEM CAI owners...question

Did your polished pipes look perfectly polished or did you have little marks here and there on it? Just checking cuz mine had some little black specs and stuff on it...nothing big but just wondering..

i just noticed that most of the specs are where you wont see them...i kinda just positioned it the way it goes in and it looks nice and clean.

The top tubing was fine...it was the bottom half that had some marks...no big deal.

Default polished pipes

THe pipes are cut, bent, cleaned, trimmed, put in a fixture so they can weld on the brackets/pipe fittings, then they are hand sanded, then they are pre-polish sanded, then polished using several different stages. During this whole process AEM still manages to produce some very awesome polished products. The black stuff is polishing compound. Dont worry about it.

Just know a lot about pipe manufacturing and finishing. The process is similar for all intake system producers.
I hear AEM is doing some more R&D on the 350Z, maybe a V2 or a short ram style intake...we'll see.
