I'm about to buy this, but up to this point I was under the impression that it came with a midpipe. Greddy's website had a picture of it with a midpipe which I guess is for a different car, not a z... So my question is... Is my HR midpipe really good enough as is? I'm thinking I would buy TPs to go with this exhaust.

Also... anybody want to chip in for a dyno? lol

I'm going to do a base dyno run, then a w/intake and then a w/intake and exhaust.

I wasn't under the impression our midpipe is restrictive, and I would certainly think the HR would be less restrictive if they were. I think you will be fine.

I love how your z sounds!!!

I'm gonna get this and test pipes myself. I guess I better start researching the whole non-fouler fix for the test pipes... Hope it's not too much of a PITA to do.

I got mine from assaultech.com they are a vendor here. Their shipped price is way better than ebay and I'm sure they're still in stock. Big props to Z1 Performance for answering all the questions on this thread. I didn't buy from them cause I was already in contact with assaultech and I thought Z1 was already out of them.

I am going to have a local shop order this for me.
We will see what's gonna happen!

Ive had loud exhaust and its annoying, my z's a daily so i want something with a perfect sound like this one not loud at all but makes a nice tone and looks super sexy lol. This axle back seems perfect for what im looking for, ill keep yall updated when i order it.
Once you order, can you post a vid of your combo (HFC, XYZ, SE). If possible, thanks.

anyjuan didn't take pics cause he's too pissed about rasp/rattle.

I love the exhaust but I'm running out of patience with the TPs.

SWEET!!! Finally in!! Will be ordering tonight.

I just got my test pipes and XYZ pipe, will let you all know about that combo. I got both the resonator and the HFC for it, so this should be good.

Let me know how the xyz pipe works with TPs/Greddy SE. I'm having all kinds of headaches with my raspttle. I'm thinking The xyz should fix it but I don't want to just throw money out. As of right now I think I need to take the TPs off and get the XYZ pipe.

Who knows?!

NO!! You keep the TPs. The XYZ connects up to the cats or TPs. It makes more sense to run it as TPs to the XYZ with a resonator to get rid or/reduce rasp, or get the HFC insert for the XYZ pipe. Search more about it and research it....it is pricey!! Just ordered my final bits: the SE, Tokico HP shocks. Will post pics in a few weeks once everything is on.

Oh, trust me, everytime I'm bored I go to their website and stare at the xyz. I've read everything there is to read about it. I even spoke to Tony yesterday about my issue. It sounds like it ought to get rid of my raspttle but I want to be sure before I spend anymore money. It may be too ambitious but I want 0% raspttle. For the money I am spending or would be spending 0.01% is unacceptable. I knoe there should be a little rasp but mine sounds like metal to metal almost.
