Kinetix V+ Plenum Install (06 DE Install) Question
Yea I was correct about the bypass it is for the coolant. When installing the new one we found that it was best to just hand tighten it well at first and let it run for about 20 minutes, took it around the block lightly then came back and torqued it down carefully to the 6ft/lbs specification.
Thoughts on the plenum? I think it works very well and it also sounds great! I think it's well worth the money and you can feel the difference it makes especially along with a JWT popcharger.
Good buy, good customer support.

Hmm... It shouldn't be hitting your hood unless your using a plenum spacer too... which is a no no... The whirling sound is normal. Thats what it sounds like a whine/wind noise. You'll need some spacers for the engine cover which you can get at your local hardware store. Just find some nylon spacers or rubber ones should work.
I've heard several cases of them rubbing the bottom of the hood and tonight i noticed a small point on the top of the plenum that has rubbed a little, i've heard that's ok. Swirling noise, hrm I can't say I have heard that myself.. I'd look for a leak.
Mine (when i had it) hit the hood a little too. Most do. It will "wear" itself down after a while. You may notice a slight tapping sound on the hood while at idle. But you have to listen hard to hear it. And again, it will go away after a couple months. Some have chosen to sand that spot down where it rubs instead of waiting. It won't rub enough to leave a mark on the outside of the hood though.
I loved my Kinetix!! By far my favorite mod when i was N/A!!
I am putting on a new Black Kinetix plenum/Air intake tomorrow and even bought an inch-pound torque wrench for only $20. But now that I have seen and heard that they should only be hand tight, and maybe just "a hair more" that helps a lot so I don't damage something. Yes, the instructions do not really state, from what I seen, what torque setting or anything to put them at. So, after what I am seeing here, I am going to hand tight them with a nut driver, then put a extremely light touch on it with a wrench or something. Sound good ?
Do you need to do anything special to install the Kinetix V5 plenum in to the 06 revup engine....Does it fit without modifictons.......
What about the 280cv non revup upper plenum, does it fit in to the rev-up 300cv?? I have two options, modified aluminium intake plenum from a collage 280cv non revup, gives gains is tested or kinetix V5.....
Just wonder if the modified one is no compatible with the 2006 revup...
What do you think??

300hp (revup) year 2006
At least this is the specifications in Spain, but basically, Could I fit the upper plenum from the non revup DE engine in to the revup De engine...or the same thing the Kinetix V5 in to the revup engine...on the web site says 03-05 only.......
