Default Stillen Intake

Hey guys looking to get a new intake. Stillen makes a short ram dual intake and also the long tube dual intake for the 08's. What is the difference between the two performance and sound wise? Wouldnt the long tube be better since its a whole new tube instead of using the stock tubes? If the price difference isnt a concern, should I get the long tube?

They made the generation 3 ones for the 370z, but do you know if they really will, or if there were rumors of them making it for the hr's? If there is no chance of them making it, I will just go ahead and buy the generation 2 ones then.

Default Pop vs Stillen vs Injen

Among these three intakes, hr popcharger, generation 2 stillen long tube, and injen long tube/short ram, which of these is the loudest when installed?? Not really looking for an increase in performance but sound.

Sound over performance? I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the chances of a member owning all three of these intakes is slim to none other than the fact that any intake is pretty much going to give you the same sound regardless. There is no real logical answer to your question.

oh, in that case they all sound the same. only difference is price and how much you want to pay for basically the same sound. seems this falls into the personal choice category then.

Oops Sorry, I just wanted to know which intake from stillen was better, the short or long, then decided to ask which intake among the three were louder.

Or you could go for the pop charger ans save $$$. I'd imagine it'd be louder then the Stillen since it doesn't have a box around it.

Im looking more for a used one though. I know stillen is more expensive, but if they are used, im assuming they are about the same price range

LOL. Well if the Stillen is more expensive then the pop charger new. Then it more then likely will be more expensive then the pop charger used.

Average used Stillen intake used goes for $150-$200

Average used pop charger goes for $40-$80

It's up to you. Remember the pop charger is louder too which is what you said you are looking for.

The only difference in the two is the Stillen has a cover on the "heat shield". Otherwise it's the exact same product. IMO in this instance you are basically paying for the name.

o wow, used dual popchargers are 40 to 80? thats pretty cheap.

Well if you say they both perform the same, but the popcharger is louder and cheaper, than i guess popcharger is the way to go :]

My bad, i didn't realize you had an HR motor.

I'd still imagine the dual popchargers would be cheaper the a dual Stillen setup. But i think you'll have a harder time finding those used since your HR motor is newer then DE motors.

yea looked around in the for sale section, and found a couple of popchargers that were going for 200 to 300.

just got off the phone with stillen - turns out they are in the late stages of R&D for the generation 3 intake for the 350Z.
I'll be patiently waiting since stillen is always the best
