After installing the test pipes, I finally got a check engine light. I was right at 300 miles after installation and I also reset the MPG around the same time I noticed the light. So I'm not sure what exactly caused it. Does this go away? Or do I need to get someone to clear the code? Thanks!
over 8k miles on my test pipes and I never got a check engine light. Just a thought... I would say look into it, might be one of your o2 sensors or something else in your engine is tripping it.

i think your the 2nd person to get the CEL after this mod. the 1st guy said that the light turned off after some more miles and hasn't came on ever since.
so might just try to walk it out for now.
or check your O2's.

I had also had the cel come on shortly after my install about a month ago. I had only gone about 20 miles. It came on right after I filled my tank...I had also reset the computer. I thought it might have been the gas cap, but I know I put it on correctly. It stayed on for about a week then went away. Then came on for a bit like 1 or 2 weeks later.
I would wait it out for a little while. I had my pipes off for a couple weeks for inspection and the light never came on, so I am pretty confident it was a result of the pipes.
Good luck!

Thanks everyone, I just went to an "auto shop retailer" and the guy there cleared the code. I don't want to mention the name because he said they were not supposed to clear codes. Anyway the code was "catalyst low" or something like that, so I guess the moral of this story is not to reset you MPG computer and you won't get a light.
