test pipe, y-pipe i shd go for?
Hi, i have 03 track edition Z. I currently have fujitsubo catback installed in it and now want to add a test pipe and y-pipe in it. Which brand shd i go for as i am not willing to spend much on these items. Neither do i want CEL flashing.
If you do not want to spend much on these items go to ebay. There you can get both test pipes and y-pipe for about $170, great price but quality is questionable. The end result will be very similar in the TQ, and HP gains dept.
I can not help to question why you own a fujitsubo cat back, but are not willing to spend money for quality on the more important parts of the exhaust for gains and reliability.

I have the Fujitsubo Legalis-R axel back exhasut, which I'm guessing is what you have? I also have the JIC Magic ss y-pipe and APS test pipes. Sound is great and quite when under 3k so cruising it doesn't get annoying. But deff. sounds great when WOT.
Here is the sound clip I made of it. https://my350z.com/forum/videos/4668...ound-clip.html
Hope this helps

I just got a megan y pipe for 140 bucks shipped from http://www.importdpsonline.com/
I have owned many Megan products in the past on my accord and had always been satisfied with the quality and design(almost all copy cat items and some probably are the same!) and this y pipe is no exception. It looks great, and it fit great. I was worried about the fit because I already have Ichiba tp's which fit great as well, got them used here, and a used top speed y back. However, it fit PERFECTLY like a glove, went right in with no problems what so ever. Came with all three gaskets and bolts(I love the nuts megan gives you, they have groves on one end to prevent them from slipping). Im not sure for other Z owners who have bought Megan parts, but it seems they will continue to get my business as long as the prices stay low! Also, I did not realize how restrictive the stock y pipe was. I did the tps awhile back, and that netted me more sound on the stock exhaust. I then went through some crazy times getting an exhaust, took 4 months to finally get one!(one got back ordered, found a different used one, guy could not ship it cause he did not have a big enough box, and last the guy had a family emergency and did not ship this one for almost a month! hahaa) with the Tps and y back, I felt little to no gains whatsoever, now with the Y in, it def pulls harder, so the y pipe was squeezing the whole system! My buddy helped me put it in, and he was laughing at the size difference between the two!

I just picked up a Stillen Y-Pipe from their website. They have them on sale right now for 186.00 regular price is 286.00! I am replacing my cheap ebay pipe I just posted some vids of recently. Once I get in the Stillen I will post up some different videos. It will be matched up with my Kinetix resonated test pipes and my RSR exhaust.
