Default Injen CAI filter element shield

Intended as a heat shield but could be used to block debris from hitting the filter element for those who are using the cold air extension.

A cheaper and quicker solution is to go to AutoZone and pick one of these up made by Spectre. It's like 20 bucks.

Nice find Victor, I bought the Spectre heat shield but it doesn't fit the filter directly, only the metal point there the filter attaches. How much for the Injen shield and where do you get it?

You can get it from our sponsors

Mostly any Injen dealer should be able to get this.

I can understand the heat shield, but why block the airflow by using to protect against things comming in?

Will it fit? I don't think there is enough room to add this with the CAI set up?

Do they call it a heat shield? I was really thinking about how I could make something like this to put on the backside of the filter to actually help direct the airflow, not to block heat. I guess the radiator can get hot.

I believe it can be adjusted to whatever position you want.

wow so when it is not raining I can adjust to the rear to block the heat from the radiator then when it does rain I adjust it to the front to block water. is that how it is?

Does this mean you tried it on the 350Z Injen fliter already? Damn, I thought I finally had a solution that I could buy instead of tyring to create something.

I know that is the case with the Spectre shield, so Injen doesn't make one to fit our filters? What's up with that?

Why was dollar99 saying it didn't fit ??
