Ok so my Z sounds good.
But i want it louder.


Im running a vortech supercharger setup, strupp headers, berk HFC, and greddy evo 2 exhaust.


i really want a louder exhaust sound, but i don't know which way to go.


would taking out the X pipe and doing a striaght pip from the cats back be good?

or a single exhaust setup?
also if i did this do you guys think i'd need to retune the car?


id really just like a louder exhaust note, right now the supercharger/bypass valve overpowers my exhaust.

I have a custom hks carbon fiber, Titanium tip exhaust. It is a two piece exhaust like the agency and it is 3" piping. Would also include the japtrix y pipe I have.Id be willing to trade bc I no longer have my supercharger and want to go with a true dual setup again. pm me

 

a. Your exhaust has resonators? Remove them.
b. Swap the sissy catelitic converters for some test pipes.

 

IMO I would get rid of the cats/test pipes all together and run straight 3" piping off each header to a resonator on each side back to a muffler of your choice. This being the most free flowing exhaust set up you can run and will sound amazing. You will love turning the key everyday. Dropping the resonators Will give you a louder more free flowing exhaust but will cause some rasp.

Any exhaust shop will do this for you. Just tell em which muffler you want and which resonator's. Or bring them your own mufflers and resonators and they will "Lay the pipe"

 

Agency Power!!! It's the loudest exhaust available imo.

 

Maybe on the market but cutom fab > off the shelf items

 

switch the hfc to test pipes,and get a 3 inch single like the agency power. it will blow your mind.

 

APS 3" Straight Dual w/3.5" T.P.'s -def not for the faint of heart - makes me smile every time I start her up.

 

I guess you have not heard the V1 motordyne shockwave. Agency power is really quiet.

 

AP is NOT quiet. And no I havent heard the MD Shockwave, but it cant be much louder than AP. (i have AP w/Art pipes/stillen headers)

 

lol the shockwave can be pretty damn loud with test pipes.

 

Ya I just chencked out some clips on youtube and that ish is loud!! I also like the sound of the MD SW too.

 

my aam test pipes and injen dual is extremely loud.

 

Ap would be equal to a MD Gamma, shockwave makes the Gamma sound stock.

I have HKS exhaust (H pipe) with turbo XS test pipes (non resonated) and stillen headers, and the god damn thing is so ridiculously loud you can hear it from a mile+ away.

But like others have stated, if you want crazy loud 3" piping with a huge exit is the way to go.

 

Thats what a shockwave is.
