De-cat 350z
I am using a fujitsubo catback legalis r on my 350z roadster auto tranny. Anyone here tried de cat the four original cats? ( I mean operate the cats and remove debris inside to make it more free flow)? Or do I just bolt on test pipe toque it sounds better and better gain? Pls share and advise, thanks.
The purpose of test pipes is to use instead of cats (which you have 2 of). You would need to remove the cats to install test pipes. I think that is what you are asking.
Bro thanks for your prompt reply. 1 more question, how many cats does our 350z has? 2 or 4? If I remove the cat and put a test pipe is this going tp be louder for the exhaust without changing the header? Thanks
You have 2 cats, as mentioned already. And yes it'll get louder.

But no by the questions you are asking you will hate test pipe. It's extremely loud and unbearable if you want to even listen to NPR news radio. HFC will make your exhaust note louder but not unbearably loud.
Also consider what your driving habits are. With tp you will lose low end torque but gain high end power. Unless you're driving above 4k through every gear or you commute in the city just stick with OEM cats.
From my experience, tp were way too loud for me and my berks hfc caught on fire. So it's back to my stockies.
Get HFC to save the planet. Somewhat.
