I believe so, have you tried using an impact gun though? That's how I was able to remove mine before needing a torch.

no i havent. but im thinkin for 36$ thats a deal. instead of the gun $75 and upwards of 250$ and getting air pump for it, the torch is the way to go.

Did you try the breaker bar with a hammer in combination with what u mentioned? Essentially what an impact gun does. The sudden burst usually breaks it free rather than just trying to torque it off by hand. Just make sure your angle and force applied is even, so you dont strip or snap anything lol.

A torch like that should work. Do you know how to use one? Do you know where the hottest part of the flame is? Try about 30 seconds around the area.

A quality 6 point socket is a must before attempting to remove them.

ive always thought the hottest part of a flame would be the blue steady flame? parts of the bolt were getting red hot for a second. im gonna give it another go today. yesterday was only about 40 degrees outside so maybe that was the problem.

Jus heat up the nut, that propane torch isn't gonna cut it like an oxy/ acetylene cutting torch will.. Instead ur going to heat up the steel n make it expand... Should turn out after that....

Good luck!

I had the same issue with the bolts on my exhaust. Tried absolutely everything with almost every kind of tool you can think of. After wasting an entire day trying to get them off I gave up. Just bring it anywhere with a lift, give someone some cash on the side and ask them to cut the bolts off.
