06 Z Mrev2 and 5/16 [Flashing Engine light] help
Hello, I just installed a Mrev2 with the motordyne 5/16 spacer and my god it's wonderful the gains were amazing and I can't wait to get it tuned.
My problem is when I give it a good amount of gas the engine light will flash and then cut off. When I ran it for error codes nothing shows up, I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas as I got nothing with a search.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Pengu,
It sounds like there may be an electrical issue. Neither the spacer or MREV2 will cause a light to flash like that. There is something else that is causing the flash.
My first guess is something electrical but to really know you will need a code number to track it down.

Since that night I haven't had the flashing engine light. The Mrev2 / spacer combo is the best thing I've done to my car and the gains were for sure noticeable. The only problem is my gas mileage has decreased since I've been flooring it the past 2 days now haha!
Thanks again for the both the replies / help and another thanks to Hydrazine for an amazing product!

I second the praises for MD on these products. Installed mine back in 2009 and the gains were immediately noticeable. Best bang for buck mod I've done. (Maybe best mod I've done altogether).
I fortunately did not get any errors after my install. The fact that you are not finding any error codes makes me think it is just some transient condition that occurs during heavy throttle. My understanding is that when the code clears, the check engine light goes out. What seems strange is a CEL that comes on and turns itself off while the car is running, as opposed to one that goes off after the car has been turned off and on again.
Are all of the hoses that you removed from the plenum reinstalled securely? I'm wondering if you have a vacuum leak somewhere.
EDIT: Did you disconnect your battery while doing the install? I believe the ECU has to "learn" the changes to your new intake configuration to avoid issues. Could be that the CEL is no longer flashing because it has adapted to the upgraded intake hardware. In any case good luck with it and enjoy!

Yup never did figure out the actual cause and could of been something random at the time. I had disconnected the battery and I reset the ECU after I connected it again. Everything's working now so hopefully I'm all set to go!
