OEM 370z Headers on VQ35DE
Just browsing my favorite place to get parts and ran across this. Interesting find and i especially like that it'S OEM and coming from a car with more displacement and higher revs. Could be a good cheap upgrade honestly, but I would like to see some numbers before I invest in the PITA that is the header installation.

Note: the HR headers have a little different bolt pattern to mount to the engine, so you will have to move one stud on each side of the engine to another existing hole in the block...not too hard to do (If you have 2 elbows on one or both arms ) ...but is part of the swap process.
I think this is a good way to go with test pipes or high-flow cats, plenum spacer, and a tune...
I can't quote HP increase numbers as when I did this swap I was also installing a different engine...but I got 255HP on a 80K mile engine @ the Z1 dyno in about 90 deg temps..with pump gas.

I did DC Headers on my 03' and can say butt dyno wise they don't really do anything. I am just saying if you are going to go full n/a bolt on then obviously this is a good cheap swap so if you only get 4-5hp throughout the powerband then the bang for the buck was worth it at that price. It's the damn install that should make you think.

Actually I just ordered these minus the heat shields and actually am kinda worried about that now but people have installed naked headers on their cars without problems (well some people). I don't think I will be hopping on a dyno because I feel like money could be spent elsewhere or just saved until I actually go get a tune.
Update: Got HR heat shields and they fit perfectly on the 370z headers
