You HR guys should be good look at 512z dyno he has the same headers on his HR.
Doshuru you should be good also my dyno between stepped and non stepped was not much difference up top.
The non stepped with reducer gave me the biggest gains on the lowend 15-20 hp/tq.
Ojiggy if you want I can take better pics of my reducers to help give your shop a idea.
I just unbolt my ypipe slide them in and bolt back up. The dyno on the previous page is what they did for me on the stepped headers w/o reducer.
I think the closer the reducer is to the collector the bigger the impact.
Since you guys can tune both intake and exhaust cam timing the reducer may not be needed for you guys.

Denchan:
I'm actually talking about the reducer, not the step -- based on what jiggy said earlier:
Here are mine, for reference:

Well I got in touch with RDZ and Joe says PPE is now saying HR's respond better to not having a reducer at the merge.
Edit: So Paul from PPe just called me back. The original HR headers they designed are as shown on their site stepped and with NO reducer. Actually the DE is the only header they offer with a reducer. The 370, ISF, celica, etc all dont have reducers. He basically attributed it to the way each motor breathes. I may do a test like Denchan did with reducers, but I'll trust PPe's word for now. He sounds like a pretty knowledgeable guy.

Yeah, I know what they are, and they are what I ordered. I just thought that it had been settled that non-stepped with reducer was best. I suppose I knew that I had an HR so my results might be different, so I can't complain, really. Being an early adopter always has its risks! Just sucks to now hear PPE saying that the HR works best with the exact opposite of what I got....stepped without reducer, vs non-stepped with.

If it makes you feel better FI longtubes for the 370z and G37 are not stepped and have similar gains

So both stock headers are out. Pass side is bolted in. Between the steering rod and the tranny it feels like I can't physically fit the headers between them. Any tips?
Edit: I got it, man what a nightmare. The stock studs are definetly the enemy on this.
