what does aftermarket exhaust sound like?
I'm possibly looking to change my exhaust but I'm not sure as to what the aftermarket exhaust will make my car sound like. I don't want a "V8 roar" where I have to yell to talk nor do I want the "bumble bee" sound either. Can anyone describe the sound of their aftermarket exhaust or possibly a sound clip of one. Thanks
Here are 3 full throttle clips of mine. It's a custom job. True duals with an Xpipe, no mufflers, and two pairs of resonators. I am about to put in the XERD headers which eliminate the cats so it is going to get VERY loud. I may have to install a set of inline cats behind the headers. We will see. Turn your volume UP!

I have the Nismo and love it, a little louder at WOT and sounds exotic to me - no to mention the quality is second to none.

my nismo simply put, is amazing. I couldnt believe the difference in the tone. It was exactly what i wanted. I agree completely that it sounds exotic and the quality is always topnotch. I got mine from paul at avalonracing.com for $825 shipped, which was an amazing price. This was during his xmas special, and i think he sells them now for $925 but i could be wrong. The ingen is very load, and the borla is spposedly deeper than the nismo.
My Nissan dealer sold me my Nismo exhaust for $825 too, initially they told me MSRP until I proved I could get it off the internet cheaper - so my dealer set me up with the price and I installed it at home with just the rear of my Z on jack stands - it was easy and I didn't have to wait for shipping - check out your dealer and see what they'll do for ya, if they don't want to help you out then buy it online - - good luck.
