Crazy good deal or junk?

Does anybody know anything about this? I'm looking at true dual exhausts and im considering greddy evo tt's, got a custom piping quote from a local shop, and these very oddly low priced exhausts. I need some opinions because at $286 it's hard to beat. Anybody have any background information on these exhausts, perhaps they rattle and knock? Maybe they are very thin? I have no idea but it seems very sketchy to me and some opinions on it would be great. Thanks.

here's how you can tell…
A. it's on ebay
B. the guy is using a pittsburgh tools caliper to measure the ID - and don't get me wrong, I love me some harbor freight!!
C. the price is way too low, you get what you pay for!

it will surely give you an extra 40-50 HP since its a replica instead of authentic...
But do you want to risk losing traction with all the new found Hp???

I agree w everyone .. lol.. I do honestly.. but...the thing i think is funny is that anyone thinks the authentic HKS is that much better than these knock offs lol.
its exhaust.. exhaust does little to nothing to a vq car.. and when they dont fit good, its very easy to fix.
I do agree that for an NA car they just lose power.. but if this is your budget, buy one.. just expect the tips to not sit straight and plan to have a muffler shop heat part of one of the tubes to bend it slightly. This will discolor it but its under the car.. who cares.
The reality is that unless you buy a motordyne for 1500 bucks, i dont see any other exhaust being of "benefit" any ore than this thing is.
For 270 bucks, why not?
I mean, if youre a 1500 dollar exhaust candidate and you buy this, youre an idiot.
But if youd never be a 1500 dollar exhaust buyer.. then why not buy one like this for cheap or leave on your stock gear?

If it's really stainless steel, not sure how they are managing that price.
The resonators alone would be worth it. Piping is too small for big power FI, but fine for NA. I've spent close to $20k in various exhaust systems, including several MD set ups, Greddy evoTT, Fast Intentions, custom true dual, etc. Now have a custom 3" true dual with a modified G37 muffler (yep!) and finally have the tone I'm looking for.
If I were doing it over, I'd jump on this (if it's really stainless).

^ indeed.
I have one of these ebay hks knock offs on my car, was one of my first mods actually...
I have had zero issues w it for 4 years now. No rust etc.. urethane hangers were used and it doesnt move or wiggle around.. i bought fantastic real ti tips for it that do not say hks lol.. and when i went fi< i put a cut out at the downpipe.. done. Get crazy and add the magnaflow resonator even..
No need for anything more really imho.

You can get a real HKS and deal with this though. https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...st-h-pipe.html
I have one as well and it has held up well for almost 2 yrs. They are made of 410 stainless rather than 304. I had to bend one of the hangers slightly to make the tips sit right, but other than that I have been happy with my purchase.
The magnaflow resonated x-pipe mod is a must in my experience.

I bought an HKS knock off for about $400 and it has worked fine and fit fine, maybe I just got lucky but it's just bends and tubes of steel. I did buy some cheap Megan Racing downpipes, had a piece inside the resonator start to rattle after about 20k miles but it was an easy fix. You may get what you pay for but there is a point when you start to get deminishing returns on how much you spend on your exhaust system.
Hey guys, sorry i didn't get back sooner. Just going to throw an update in just incase anybody cared to know what i ended up doing. So i said screw it, i can spend 1,000+ on a greddy evo exhaust or i can give this a shot for $350 (i ended up going with an actual website rather than ebay for quality reasons) and i got the thing in my car in about an hour and a half, the install was painless other than having to run up to advance to buy another gasket lol. And i was missing a tip screw but i found one in my shop and it was a close match. Anyways, i start it up and i really love the sound, and i had one of my mechanic buddies helping me put it in and when i asked how much he thought it cost he said ~$1000 and was shocked when i told him $350. He said the quality was pretty good and so were the welds. However the fitment was a bit screwed which i was very expectant of anyways. No big deal really if you know what you're doing though, we grabbed a torch and started melting the straight piping section just before the muffler and we put a long metal tube in the pipe to get leverage and had to pull while heating it and it took a good deal of effort but we got the end moved over about an inch and it was lined up great with the other exhaust. And i also had one more issue, a little metal piece was touching the pipe so we just melted it off since it had no use. And voila it was complete in a couple hours, and i'll admit it's the first exhaust on my personal Z but boy do i love the sound of it. Somebody told me it sounded like a ferrari which i thought was a little much but it really does sound great. Overall im very happy with it and i just hope it doesn't give me any trouble down the road because if not it was an awesome deal. Thanks everybody for your suggestions and time spent reading and replying to this post!
I wanna know why these replica X02 companies even try to burn the stainless tips!!! Every HKS replica has those crappy burnt tips on them that just look brown. They would actually look better if they didn't even touch them and just left them unburnt stainless
