Default Injen Dual Cold Air Intake and Drive Thru Car Wash?

Hi guys,
I've looked around on the forum but found only one thread where no answers were really given.
I installed my Injen Dual CAI yesterday, and I would like to know if it would hurt to wash the car through a Drive Thru? I don't really want to Hydrolock my engine.

Thanks for your answers

Only thing that get hurt with drive thru car washes is you paint and body. If your going to do it at least go touch less.

Car wash = swirl marks and scratches on paint

Do it yourself. As I always say, if someone is going to ruin my car, I want it to be me!

^ + Harmful soap on the car's paint (higher PH, might strip wax, eventually clearcoat, blah blah blah).

To answer your question, no, it won't. But on a more important note, pickup two buckets, grit guards, some soft mitts, and a good bottle of Chemical Guys and you'll be good to go with a clean wash.

If you have the physical ability to wash your own car I highly recommend it. It literally takes 15 minutes out of your time.

Plus even with touchless car washes, they're overpriced and I have yet to find one that'll do a decent job.

Non-issue with the intakes especially if your version came with the water baffles (sp?)

I agree with everyone else though, those drive-thru car washes are no bueno

I only go through drive-through car washes when I'm cashing out on life.

For the intake, I don't know what you mean by watter baffles, @Waizzz, here's a picture of it though

Will try to follow your advice and clean it myself
It'll actually save me $44 a month (membership at the car wash)

Just need to find a DIY since I never did it before lol

I forgot if the Injen had this, but my NISMO does:

Just realized that they don't, and it's a bypass not a baffle lol

You should be fine though
