Top Speed True Dual Straight Pipe exhaust review!
Hello fellow Z owners. I'd been looking for that extra umph for my 2007 Z for a while and I decided to bite the bullet about a month ago and I've got to say I'm pretty happy I did. Many have the HKS reps, the Stillen exhaust, Invidia, AAM, Agency, Injen SES, and so forth and while many of those sound great, all except the reps can get pretty costly. I wanted a true dual exhaust that was pretty much straight pipes for a while but I could never find a company that had made one until about 2 months ago. I got the exhaust from Top Speed directly from their eBay page for about $409.00 dollars. When I received the box, it was in pretty beat up shape and I was surprised because they're in Addison, Texas and I'm not that far, (Katy, Texas). Anyways, opened up the box, everything bubble wrapped, came with everything and G35 extensions as well.. The quality of the welds seem to be up to par. Full stainless, including the tips as well. Next day I took the car to an exhaust shop to have it installed. Installation was straight forward for them, the only problem they had was the rear section made both tips touch the bumper... Nothing a little heat couldn't fix. All in all, I'm really stoked about the exhaust, it's definitely a unique sound. Nice and loud but not too loud to where you wanna blow your brains out. I definitely feel the gain on the butt dyno, mostly in the upper RPM range. I find myself getting asked a lot by Z owners what exhaust I have so that's also pretty nice as well. If any of you are interested in this exhaust I would certainly spring for it. At the price, you can't beat it. Now apparently they offer some with a resonator but I bought the "No resonator" version. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask! Here are some youtube links to what it sounds like.

Topspeed lost my business a long time ago after buying their actual hks replica with the hemholtz resonators and all.. it came with holes in 3 different areas in the welds, fitment was the worst I had ever seen, and they wouldnt do anything about it. Live and learn. Good to hear you didn't have any of those problems though.

Lol, the first video was the revving past 5K! The others are revving but it's not revving it hard or past the 5k. It's suttle during normal driving and then the beast comes out when you need it to.I need to make an in cabin video. I believe the other one sounds different because it's in a residential area. I've noticed I'm much louder in the neighborhood than when I'm on normal streets.

I'm sorry to hear that. You would think these damn companies would make fitment right for a product designed "Specifically" for a certain platform. I guess that's where the "You get what you pay for" line comes in.

I'm sorry,not "too loud"?
No probs from the law on excessive exhaust in your area?
You prolly don't do any extended hwy driving. The drone from
these straights would give me a headache.I'd like to see what
the true HP increase is at the rear wheels on a dyno.Just because
its loud is not gonna make it much faster.
Not a fan.

I will make an exhaust clip while normal driving in cabin, outside, and highway. It sounds perfect imo, TX2K13 just went down and I had plenty Z owners come up to me asking what exhaust I had. Today some middle aged dude followed me to Discount Tire Co just to ask me what exhaust I had. You'd have to here it in person.
