Looks GREAT! If it performs as GOOD as it looks, my order will be heading your way.

Yes, the factory engine cover will also fit.

We will do some pics of the plenum in black and not grey, as well as installed in the car with strut bar and engine cover probably by end of day tuesday.

Well, that may make sense to someone that already has a Crawfish, but for those who don't, you now have an alternative that won't break the bank, or require a core.

i don't care about the paint or logo, as long as performance is there, and price ain't too bad.... how much could a plastic plenum possibly cost? j/p

Why do guys keep posting NEG words to someone who was just giving his opinion on something? For everyones sake please try to respect others that are on this forum. If you simply do not like someone elses opinion just go to the next Thread.

I personally think the new item will be very cool and hope to get some positive R&D back from them soon..

Cheers,
yammy1

how did you get a strike already?

That's pretty cool that you can keep the stock engine cover. What I'm going to try and do is create a stensil for the crawford plenum, that will outline what parts of the stock cover to modify so it works with Crawford plenum.

LSD or all_bark,

when the plenum flexed, did it rub the stock strut bar at all? I know you had said there wasn't much room between plenum and bar.

Looks good enough to shelve the engine cover. Most exciting. One minor question, and this is certainly not a deal breaker, does it eliminate some of the grounding points we've been using with our grounding kits?

Appreciate you keeping us up on the development. I think it's awesome you put it on the line in a public forum. Props.

when I tested it I did not put the strut back on because I wanted to make sure it worked, which it did not. I got the epoxy today and filled the hole. After work tomorrow I plan on putting it back on and testing it again. If it works I will then put the strut bar back on and take 'er for a long, hard drive! And then get to the dyno shop ASAP.

If, for some reason it does not work, which I do find hard to believe, I will take it off and send it back to lsd and let him find and fix the problem(s) as I am only a beta tester who can remove and install a part, not manufacture or repair one, as I know little about that!

I had to move two wires but the are still hooked into the plenum, just connected to the lower part instead of the plastic upper (new) part. After I have the new one on the car and working I will post some pic's of it and how I re-hooked up the two grounding wires.

I didn't see anything wrong with his comment. He gave his opinion without stepping on any toes. Certainly no less efficient bandwidth usage than your post, or even mine for that matter.

A nice side shot of the plenum would be nice so we can see if/how far it dips as opposed to the original plenum??
