Kinetix Prototype Plenum Photos - HERE!!!!!
OK, so here is the deal. The plenum has a small hole that needs to be filled to get this puppy to work. There is also a little flex in the center of the plenum which lsdunique has determined will be easy to correct. I believe the final production version will include a small center support that will prevent the flex that this one exhibited when tested yersterday. one final thing before the pic's, the dyno shop is closed today and tomororw i am busy. What I will try to do today is get it on, see if it works and then report back to EVERYONE how well it feels with my big ol' butt dyno. On tuesday or wednesday I will bring it in for the real dyno which I will once again post.

the side you really want to see!
the arrows show two small imperfections in the initial molding that will be completely corrected prior to release. (words from lsdunique himself)

and this one shows where the problem lies. lsdunique in his rush to finish this for the dyno day drilled the bolt hole all the way though to the inside of the plenum, and just remember it was 3 am when this happened and coffee can only do so much!
and that is why I could not find it when I was at the dyno shop!

I like the logo too. It's just funny the way he described it and the way it came out. Nothing wrong with it. If I designed a piece that nice my name would be all over it, inside and out.
You know what would be cool. I'm not even sure it would work, but two stainless steel spines on top of the plenum to prevent flex. Or, instead of having LSD's crappy logo (j/k) in the actual plastic mold, add a steel logo plate to the top. Would that help at all?

that dip in the front to fit the stock strut bar... i'm assuming the overall cavity is much larger than the stock plenum so that the front cylinders aren't starved more right? but i would think you want that area as smooth and gradual as possible.. it looks like it just is popped in..

Very nice looking piece.
I feel left out My Z is in storage because of our godaweful winter. We have accumulated around 117 inches of snow in just over a month. Our record was 9 feet in 30 hours many years ago. Anyway, I think i'm going to start buying mods, and using them as centerpieces on my livingroom table. Atleast I won't feel totally left out.

post some results and pics with it installed and depending on performance and price, count me in for one. By the way, thanks for all of the quality products you have made with Kinetix racing, you have done a great job. Incase no one told you already, you heard it here.

After some more testing, I will post some more defined specs on the plenum, like volume increase to the front cylinders.
The area under the strut bar is as gradual as it gets, and we maximized the arear under the strut bar with much tighter tolerances than the factory piece.
The coolant block that mounts on the underside of the plenum will look more refined, but it will be made of aluminum.
I was persoanlly proud of the little "bullets" we had placed into the top for cosmetics. They are square bullets!! because the Z has square bullets!! and they were like 100 times harder to have done than round bullets.
All of the final pieces will be pressure cured which will increase strength and eliminate any type of air bubbles.
All_bark has been great, and we are getting him a final production version in black as soon as possible, maybe we will use the gray one to make videos demonstrating the durability of the material by running it over or something.
