I'm going to be watching this we can use OEM strut bar, no core charge, and hopefully improved performance - - win win mod

All-Bark,

What happened to the Dyno sheets you were going to post for the High-Flow cats. I'm very interested in these as well. Want to compare them to the RT CATs.

thanks

Hi, first time post here. Been lurking on the board for quite some time but didnt post as I own a FX35 and not a Z... Just wanted to say that the plenum looks great and very promising. I love the fact that it doesnt require a core exchange and that the material would absorb less heat than metal.

I've got a few questions for LSD:
- Would this fit directly on the FX VQ (I assume it would since the motors are pretty much identical)?
- Would I be able to reinstall my stock engine cover without modifications?
- The price on these units (ball park)?

Appreciate the great work and thanks in advance for any response.

I'll answer for him, as if it were my turn to speak. (Ahhh, I miss the 2000 election debates...)

- It will fit on the fx35 with no modification needed
- I don't see any reason for there to be a problem here
- I will let LSD handle pricing, as that is his business matter

I personally have zero experience with the FX35.

The engine cover on the Z will fit with no modifications to the engine cover.

Pricing will be good, and we MAY do an initial group buy which will make it an even better deal.

I'd suggest a Group buy because its a sure bet there's gonna be a lot of customers in line for your Plenum including myself

I am also interested in the new plenum. It looks like the mounts for the FX35 engine cover rear bolts are not there. I think the G35 engine cover also uses those mounts. The front ones appear to be there. Here's some pics of the FX35 engine bay.

Since hood/strut bar clearance are not an issue on the FX, I don't suppose there would be any chance of a custom plenum with equal flow to all cylinders

before I post the next pic of the plenums with the inside up I want to thank ChrisMCagle for these two photos as I, in my mad rush to leave the house at 7:45 saturday morning for the dyno shop, left my digital camera picture card (not the camera but the card that goes in it!) at home. Also, Chris, his wife and Alang helped me out as well, making my time at the dyno shop swapping plenums much more enjoyable. Thanks...

If this has any bearing lsd, put those guys up on top of the list if they are interested in getting one once it is fully tested and ready (not that I carry any weight though! )

How heavy is it? Have you weighed it and compared it's weight to the OEM one?

What are your plans for the FI version?

btw - just to let everyone know. I did the epoxing to the hole but it was the kind that requires 8 hours or more to be total hard and ready to sand. Tomorrow (tuesday) I hope to sand it smooth and then re-install it and see how she goes. One way or the other I will post my results once it is done. (along with a couple of photos of it on the car and the strut bar back in, when it is a success)
