I was wondering whats the BEST diameter for a straight pipe from the cats back? will small be raspier?? or will wider?? less rasp the better!!

 

What are you trying to achieve?

A non-resonated straight pipe exhaust with no muffler will be super obnoxious.

 

Go 6" like diesels do.

hahahaha, I don't want it to be overly raspy and I want to keep the cats, I just want it to have that high pitched VQ sound without sounding like a civic with a $20 fart canon on it lol just a nice smooth sound I watched a video of a Z with 1/4" pipes and it sounded like a fly buzzing around it sucked, so is bigger better?

 

Without at least one resonator it will be raspy.

 

You at least need a muffler or a resonator.

If you want loud and nice at a low cost, look into Agency Power. Awesome sounding exhaust.

 

this was an axle back muffler, res delete and stock cats on my Rev-up. for an idea of moving parts in and out.
