Question Help to source a 3" MAF housing for DE?

Been doing a little research into intake setups and it seems almost impossible to find a larger MAF housing for the DE. Lots of ford housings on ebay but flanges dont match up, and z1 auto is out of business.

Looked at the treadstone products, but I'd have to get a flange welded to bolt up to my jwt popcharger.

I want to change up my intake a bit since I plan on test pipes and a retune anyways. thanks.

Just buy a new velocity stack for the JWT?

or get a 4" maf and make a complete 4" intake... good for about 10 WHP.. itll run you about 100 bucks for the whole setup.

http://www.jegs.com/i/Spectre/865/9405/10002/-1

All you need after that is a 6" to 4" v stack, a foot long 4" dia silicone tube and a 4" to 3" 45* adaptor.. can all be had for 100 bucks.

Many options to do this are available. All include ditching or modding the Pop Charger

Interested in this as well. I also have the popcharger and I've been thinking of going up to a 3 inch. Wouldn't going any bigger be useless since the throttle body would be a choke point? Even after the TB, what about the neck of the plenum inside past the TB?

From what I have seen there are still slight gains in going larger even with the choke point. I believe I read that from one of 2bad240's old thread and also a few maxima ones as well.

I can concur with you there as I've by now read similar claims. those maxima guys are apparently making use of the 3 inch land rover maf. I'd need to do some more reading but apparently it bolts right up?

Thanks for the info guys...I got impatient and purchased a 3.5" furookie pipe from TB to filter with a welded on maf flange...pretty smooth inside. I havent installed it yet as I've read that the car wont idle/run correctly with a larger pipe and stock maf sensor. So i'm waiting a bit to pick up a couple other mods before another uprev tune.

I had planned on having everything ready to change to the bigger filter pipe setup while on the dyno.

Would we need an aftermarket MAF when stepping up to a 3, 3.5, or 4 inch intake?

Same thing I have, still tweaking my tune but it's running ok.

^^ I can't tell you the amount of time I spent looking for a 3.5'' intake but I always came up empty handed. Tempted to purchase that intake as it looks a lot 'cleaner' than mine and I need a retune anyways.

Furookie is popular with the G35 crowd, I don't think they really marketed it much to the 350z guys. Z1 just made their race intake not long ago and hasn't marketed it much on our site even though they are a sponsor https://www.z1motorsports.com/air-in...on-p-8453.html . Then finally the Limp Mode Tuning intake is very new and they are not forum sponsors, and no one has reviewed the product on here.

Kind of like the $100 option from Jegs. Not a pretty system but I imagine it should be just as effective
