Default ART pipes w/ INVIDIA Gemini exhaust installed

Spent a beautiful Sunday throwing on some pipes and a plenum spacer on my 06 roadster. I think I was one of the lucky ones removing the demon bolts. Bought a long extension and some pb blaster prior to starting the work and it paid off. Only took some decent pressure with breaker bar to get them off. Really happy with the results. Not stupid loud, nice growl when you get on it, and no drone at highway speed.

That long extension and the recip saw were must haves.

Beautiful pipes. Quality welds and materials.

This stud had to be cut on both sides of the car. That’s where the recip saw came in handy. The driver side heat shield was making contact with the pipes, so I had to do a little bending. Otherwise I think it would have caused some rattling.

So, the support bracket for the cats would not line up with the pipes.

Another shot. Just couldn’t get it lined up. The exhaust is so sturdy I decided to leave it off. Thoughts?

Best pic I could get from the bottom.

And the sound clip. My wife isn’t big on revving the engine, so it is a little light lol.

nice video. did you have the nvidia dual exhaust on before you got the ART pipes? was wandering how much louder the ART pipes are. I currently have dual exhaust with stock cats on my 08 and am thinking am thinking about getting some sort of test pipes. I just dont want it to sound annoyingly loud. thanks

Yes, I had the nvidia installed before the motordyne ART pipes. We don’t have any emissions testing in Florida so I figured, why not get pipes? This setup is not loud, and there isn’t any drone at highway speed. No CEL either. Perfect for my tastes.

Also, didn’t realize I restricted the video. Opened the settings.

The CEL is my biggest concern. Im not sure if there is a way around it on an 08. Have you or are you going to do any tuning?

No tuning. Not yet anyway. Maybe some day. I don’t think the mods I’ve done warrant a tune.

I spoke with the guys at motordyne and they claimed that a CEL is experienced by less than 5% of the people who install them. I kind of assumed that number was exaggerated to promote their product, but I got no CEL with them and the car is not specifically tuned for them.

I really like them. Couldn't be happier with the choice.
