the bottom line is, some cars benefit from extended CAI's and some dont, my celica sees big gains from the extended CAI that i have on it, with a short ram, it showed no power gains at all, the Z's stock intake in a cold air anyways, i dont see why people bolt on a longer tube, thats made out of a more heat absorbant material that sticks the filter into an area with less air flow than stock and expect to get some miraculous gains.

alberto, shouldn't you gain more than 11 hp with all that stuff on your car? maybe it's the plenum that has to go. and the AEM of course. :P well one thign i wonder, is let's say you get a cold air, i think NISMO is the "best" or so i heard.. but you get the "cold" air going through the tubes, but if you have a metal plenum isn't that kind of pointless? Wouldn't the metal HEATED plenum kind of turn the cold air into a warm air? i think that's why if you have a LONG intake like a cai, then plenum (metal ones) wouldn't work too well with them. on the otherhand, maybe the POPcharger helped because the distance from the filter to the "destination" is so short that ther's not much "heating" of the air going on,even with the plenum. I would try and see a difference on a dyno with a more heat resistant plenum than a metal one.

Wait, what plenum could you be talking about? Hmm?

Go back and read my post again. I gained 11whp simply by changing from an AEM to a Pop-charger. I gained 17 whp from my original 237hp SAE, to a now SAE corrected 254. In my original post I wrote that I hit 239 stock but it was a mistake I hit 237 SAE, that 239 # was STD correction.

Anyways, I dont think 17whp is that bad for a few bolt-ons. And as far as the reflash I dont know...I would do it if I was near technosquare, I dont want a generic flash made for mods similar to mine, I want MY car tuned. I'll pass on that for now.
