i wouldnt bring it to the dealer with them on...heeeelllll no.

i BELEIVE thats illegal in some states (?)

i was cruisin one night and i saw a black 350 with nismo exhaust and dealer plates...so im like wtf? i did a ricer fly by and then he pulls up, he goes WTF you do to that thing?!?! i recognized it was the guy who sold me my car!!! im like stock, and bounced. Dont know if he remembered me but i assumed that if i ever went back to service hed say your car didnt sound stock blah blah.

so my answer is: yes, they will. dont do it! its a fairly easy mod so putting it back to stock shouldnt be a problem.

if you're talking about getting it installed, most shops will do it, as long as you pay in cash and don't really make any record of it...

For warranty work, it's guaranteed that they'll try to screw you over.

See I plan to run stock exhaust forever, I'm hoping if I install these they wont see them. But now I'm thinking about leaving them on for many reasons.

if you plan on leaving your car stock (performance wise) then dont do it... invest in some rims or a lip or something.

I have intake right now. I dont want to put down near $1000 for 7rwhp for a catback system (or take the chance of LOSING hp). I looked at the test pipes as a cheap alternative. I know I would gain some hp for the $199 I would pay. But if the dealer can give me crap about it, I dont want to risk it. I know they are ok with my popcharger, but test pipes may be pushing it.

Hmm....may just leave her stock. Might get Stillen ECU when it comes out.

its a disease...once you buy the pipes, you might hate the raspiness, so then youll want an exhaust, and so forth. once you pop you cant stop!

Most guys who work back in the service bay only focus on what they're supposed to do, and they don't really care about the rest of the car. It isn't their job to "rat you out" to the service manager.

It shouldn't matter what you do to your car in regards to your warranty unless you created the problem when you modified your car. In my opinion if you install test pipes on your car and the engine blows up then the engine should still be covered by your warranty. I mean prove to me how test pipes can cause your engine to fail...it's a no brainer!
On the other hand do not be surprised if you are asked to pay out of pocket an additional fee for having your transmission replaced under warranty when the technician has to remove both
your external waste gates on your Greddy turbos just to get the transmission out! You should also provide the tech with new gaskets for the waste gates instead of using the old ones!
In other words don't ask a dealer to do an exaust emissions inspection or warranty your catalyst related check engine light when you've installed headers and off-road exaust.
Warranty is supposed to pay for the cost of parts and labor for any repair as long as the repair is related to a defect in material or workmanship and not caused by you the consumer. So if you take your car in for repairs on your transmission or most other repairs it shouldn't matter what mods you've done unless they caused the failure!

my dealership doesnt care about mine. they think its neat how fast its becoming. if your in an emissions state they might give you some grief. just say that you ran over a hammer and you had to replace them with something if they ask

i talked to a tech at my nissan about certain mods and when it comes to exhaust theres nothing really that it can void except maybe emmisions? i just think you have to be somewhat careful.....maybe ask around and see if theres a dealership that is mod friendly? but i know FOR SURE you can basically stick on any aftermarket catback or y pipe back and they shouldnt give you **** at all. and if they do...throw down! haha late

I take my car to santa monica infiniti with my test pipe/exhaust and they dont really mind. They just bitched a little about it possibly changing my a/f ratio. But when I had a CEL come on they reset it for me with no problem. They also think whatever I do to my car is cool and they love it.
