what do you mean you pushed it up using the u clamps, the exhaust is touchin the crossmember, how do the u clamps make if not touch, i was thinkin if i weld a piece of metal in between the crossmember and the exhaust it wouldnt move, would that make the exhaust rattle more...?

what you can also do is get spacers. Place the spacers between the frame and cross member. You can pick them up at any muffler shop. I used a .25 of inch spacers and the rattle was gone.

DO NOT try to weld anything into your car!
DO NOT use spacers!
These are shadetree mechanic temporary fixes. The wood block idea listed above is a good idea. Loosen the exhaust clamps, insert a wood block of the appropriate size in between the pipe and the crossmember to space it, then re-tighten all the clamps.
This should give you adequate space between the pipe and the crossmember. Even in the instuctions for the exhaust it says that you might have to use a jackstand to support the exhaust in the correct position when installing.
Hope that takes care of your problem. If you're still having problems just call Stillen and ask them. I'm sure they could help.

No, because there still enough screw to hold the cross member down. The exhaust just bangs around at times.
Some people who use highflow cats use the spacers due to the highflow cats position lowers the exhaust. Thus causing the exhaust to bang on the cross member.
