Default Nismo Exhaust Broken!

On the way home today my car got loud as hell. So I put on the ramps as soon as I got home. I found the weld on the front of the midpipe to completely broken all the way around the pipe. I bought the exhaust from Avalon Racing but would my local Nissan dealership warranty the part since it's Nismo. Just trying to figure out the fastest way to fix this becasue the neighbors are not gonna be happy. I have a couple pics but since we can't post pics anyomre that kinda sucks.

That is what happens when one site that gets 10x more traffic uses the same style server that the other does.

Bigger site, more traffic, means slower... Flip side, means more valuable information.

I think if I wanted a quick and relatively inexpensive solution, I would probably just go to a muffler shop and get the pipe rewelded.

I was thinking the same thing, but you just dropped a 1000 bucks and its flawed. That seems pretty rare to happen maybe it was an install issue? Wasnt "tweaked" enough and there was to much stress on that pipe.

I had it on my car for about 8 months never had a problem with it. All of a sudden my car sounds like a nascar. Sounds kinda cool but no way in hell it can stay like this. As for install, it would be kinda hard to mess up. It's on hangers so it be hard to mis-align it. Don't really know, could just have been a substandard weld.

It's sad when you don't have your one webspace to host your own pics. I say just take a quick trip to an exhaust shop and get it welded back up.

Exact same thing happened to me, same place.
Got mid pipe replaced and no problems since. Must be a faulty batch.

as I said on the other board...

that part can be warrantied over the parts counter at any Nissan Dealer.

Next Option is to get welded, or you can purchase that part seperatly

That certainly is a solution, but you will more than likely have a nasty Mig weld at that joint. I'm sure the rest of the system is all Tig welded.

If the exhaust is an S-Tune part, then they should warranty it.
