given all the criticism to this point, albeit unwarranted, nexus has remained positive and respectful of the forum's members and concerns. he has even offered to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the numbers are legit...thats says something right there. let's see what the tests show before bashing this guy for no reason....i haven't seen nexus bash anyone thus far imo to deserve being "beatdown". let's get some feedback from those who actually have the product first, eh...peace out

i'm in the market for a set of headers and an alu. plenum, so hopefully it'll be something nice

They definitely look nice-- if they were available before i got my DC's, I'd jump all over them! Can't wait to see the independant dyno too.

If I intend to get a twin turbo eventually, will it help or not to get these headers?

Looks like I know what headers i'm getting. How much are these supposed to be? or was it already mentioned in the thread? Sorry if I missed it.

xswl, I think Turbonetic's turbo kit works with headers, so it would help to get these headers for that. But most turbochargers will replace any headers with a turbo exhaust manifold. Given that, you could always buy them and sell them when you go turbo.

Looks like we can pick these headers up for 699.00+Shipping. Is this the street price we can expect? This will be a great buy if these headers really make the promised HP gain.
Where is this price shown? I went to their websire and saw it for $1,175. Advise???

You cant compare dyno results from different dynos there are too many factors contributing to the results.

Were the different dynos the same type of dyno, were they tuned correctly, were the values corrected properly, were the wheels and tyre pressures the same, was it strapped down right, was the correct gear used etc etc

Only compare results from the same dyno on the same day for accurate comparisons.

Th ebay ad says that the $699 price is an introductory/pre-order price. The headers will be $1125.

I will give a full review on how the car drives when I get it back (got into a hit and run situation but the car will be back this week!!!!!). But if you are in the South Florida Area and want to check it out, feel free to contact me.
Is your car black and was it the front? Because if it is, i think i saw your car at the shop at *****'s Paint & Body Shop.

I'm in Miami as well. Let me know when the car is out of the shop to check it out.

I just hope the ebay price isn't so that they can do a shakedown to work out the kinks. I don't want to be a guinea pig.

I agree. Would kindof like to see the product get out and be proven and be available at that price for a while before they bump it up.

Exactly, I will not pay 1175, I would pay 699, but not before I see some truly third party dynos.

well, the low dyno numbers may also be a contribution on how many miles the engine had on it. i have a 5at g35 coupe and base lined 244 whp with 6,000 miles on my car. i broke the engine in by the book. my friend has 3400 miles on his track 350Z 6mt, floored since the day he took it off the lot. he got about 235 whp. so again, there are a of factors that go in to this. i have a feeling im about to get bashed by this post, but there are factors people should consider when comparing dynos.

Totally agree with other posts stating to give this guy a chance.

Also agree that MODERATORS especially should be respectful and professional to serve as an example to forum members.

Hope your listening Mike.

Dissappointed 350z member.

Do you offer a heat shield? Will the factory heat shields work with these headers? Will heat reap constrict fitment? do you recomend any speaical treatment to your headers to cool down engine bay temperatures? I am contemplating just getin an injen intake of the heat shield and throwing the rest away if I were to get theis mod. Thanks. Youre answers will be appreciated.

actually, i think if these guys can make a believer out of phoenixinx, then u can make a believer out of me. or better yet, what if headers were compared side by side, on one corner, crawford headers, on the other, alphawerks, tested on the same dyno.

That would be a good idea. I guess what they could do is find two stock Zs, run both on the dyno, then install the headers and run them again, then calculate the percentage difference between the stock set up vs. the new headers. The only reason I say it should be a percentage is because no two Z are going to have the same power, so the percentage would be the most fair way to compare the gains of the headers. The only problem is...who would pay for this? Unless we can convince some magazine to sign up for this, I don't think it'll ever happen.

I'd gladly pay for the dynos if two people with stock Zs in the Bay Area are willing to get the headers, run baseline dynos, then install the headers and run the dyno again on the same day.

Anyone up for the challenge?

ok, im almost bought on these headers, i mean the warranty is good, the craftsmanship seems like it'll take me somewhere, maybe not 21 hp, but atleast enough to compete with Crawfrod (I hope). So....

Dear Nexus,
Please PM me some sort of deal and we can work through there. I need a good price, some sort of dyno deal, and then some sort of installation discount.

Thanks,
CB

yeah the craftsmanship looks really good. I hope it sitll looks like that when you open the box. I'm sure it will. Besides that, the heat shield is still a concern.
