Error P1065 SES light is on!!!!
***This is a repost, i posted it in the repair forum, but no responses, just thought i would get some responses here***
So... i got my service engine soon light on after i finished installing my evo r led side marker lights, however i went to autozone for them to check it and they goterror code P1065 which means AUX EMISSOIN CONTROL FUEL METERING, or something like that. What should i do!, is it because of my AEM intake ( maybe because i unpluged my battery and it reset itself)? Or is it nothing to worry about?
Thanks in advance Guys!

Actually, you got the code wrong. Here's a quote from the manual on this code:
Here is the "problem description"
DTC NUMBER: P1065
Trouble Diagnosis Name: ECM power supply circuit
DTC Detecting Condition: ECM back-up RAM system does not function properly
Possible cause:
- Harness or connectors [ECM power supply (back-up) circuit is open or shorted.]
- ECM
It sounds like it was a one time glitch that might have resulted from disconnecting the battery long enough for the backup-RAM system to reset or something. I'd just keep an eye on it. If it pops again, get it to the dealer, you might have an ECU problem, but I really doubt it.
DTC P1065 ECM POWER SUPPLY PFP:23710
Component Description ABS0011C
Battery voltage is supplied to the ECM even when the ignition switch
is turned OFF for the ECM memory function of the DTC memory, the
air-fuel ratio feedback compensation value memory, the idle air volume
learning value memory, etc.

You're welcome. For what it's worth, if you plan on modding your car any further, investment in an OBD-II scan-tool is a good idea. I just got my Turbo installed, and I'm convinced this is something I have to have now.
Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but i have that same problem now. But it stays on. I did mess with the ecm harness trying to install the J&S. What are the effects? It seems to drive normal? I dont really see a problem, but can anyone fill me in? What will it do to my driving conditions?
You have PM. You say it "stays on", but have you actually reset your ECU? That should cause it to go out because 1065 deals internally to the ECU itself, specifically the RAM system that stores long-term variables that are not erased during an ECU reset.
So ur saying that the p1065 code has nothing to do with the ecm? If it has to do with the ecu internally, i did not touch the ecu. So the SES should go out when i do an ECU reset right? If i had shorted out something, what would be shorted out? The ECM or the ECU? I mean the car runs so.. i dunno??
