No. They just replace the covering on the side bolsters. So for me, the bolsters look great but the seat show serious azz wear.

I actually ended up getting a whole seat out of the TSB. Not only did they replace all the material on the backrest and bolsters, they also gave me new headrest material and replaced my entire lower portion because (get this) my seat frame had broken. (No, I'm not a big guy.. No flaming fat jokes please).

Mmmm now I have half a new car smell and everything seems to be in one piece as far as the fuel filler goes.

For the fuel hose recall, I dropped off my car at the dealer with 3/4 tank. The recall notice states to drop it off at 1/4 tank. Will this make any changes towards my Z? Thanks

no, but you might get it back with only a 1/4 tank left.

The z is in the shop right now for the fuel hose recall. While she's there, I'm also getting the drivers seat upholstery replaced. The service lady told me that I should have the z back no later than Thursday. Keep in mind that I dropped it off Monday, and here it is Friday already and no z back yet

Nothing from Nissan service surprises me anymore. I should just be thankful that they at least gave me a loaner sentra to drive around in.

red350zguy....please grind your ax somewhere else....stop sending me pm's unless you come up with some facts.

telling me you hope i burn up in my car if i don't do this tsb is unwarranted and childish.

i would worry that a nissan tech forgot to tighten a fuel line after the tsb...i have had really bad experiences when it comes to dealerships working on my vehicles.

do you really think that i want my car to catch fire?

sorry if you took that literally

i hope that everyone that has had their tsb work done is satisfied...there is a lot of work on this one and lots of things that could be f'd up so i am a little hesitant.

No, but you made the mechanic happy

With the price of gas and in particular premium, I guarantee you that the mechanics back in the shop have rigged up a system to get all that free gas from these Z's into their cars.

They must be loving this recall.

Seeing where you live, it is no big loss. Rain all day today and half of tomorrow so I know MY Z will be staying in the garage.

we should do a poll...how many have had the recall done and how many have not

you could also put in reasons why but i am curious out of all the recalls how many have done it

I gave up on my local service dept long ago. The warranty is basically useless. The next nissan dealer is a 100 mile round trip and i have neither the time or inclination to sit and waste time in their service dept only to drive 50 miles back home with no results.

Speaking of that. The weather was beautiful for driving yesterday and the Z once again reminded me of how well it handles. Even went by the local dealer to look at a 06 auto with RAYS rims from the factory. 18's on the front and 19's on the back. Asking price was $40,000.00

Got my notice in the mail this weekend. I need to call them to ask about my exhaust. If they're ok with it then I'll take the car in.

I just got my recall notice a short while back, but I don't care any more. They just agreed to buy my car back today and I am psyched. It took almost 18 motnhs, but I won. Unfortunalety, I now have to wait up to 20 days for a 3rd party company to process the paperwork and then set up a date at the dealersip to hand it in. All I can say is Free at Last, Free At Last,
