I dropped off my car on Friday because of the vapor leak, oil change, squeaky clutch, and missing spring lift on the hatch.
Got my car back on Saturday, fixed everything except there still is a slight squeak on the clutch.
Soooo....driving home Saturday night .. jamming some tunes and my freaking rear view mirror FALLS OFF.....WTF is that?!?!?!?! Damn I got to take it back to the shop now... argh.
how does metal break. i have no clue. think it has to do with my bass?
Fatique from vibration is one way that metal breaks. Yes, it can have a lot to do with your bass. Big, strong vibrations from a bass can make the rearview vibrate wildly. Over time, that will weaken the metal and it can crack. You're not the first person to post on the board with this problem.
I don't have a big-honkin' bass but with the volume up I can still watch my rearview vibrate.
