Default Started car with MAF disconnected....

Ok, so a friend and I were cleaning my popcharger (no oil) and he didn't reconnect the MAF before I started the car. It actually idles without it, but I shut the car completely off and plugged it in and I'm still throwing the code. Any ideas?

Just either reset the ecu.... or reset the SES light

hahaha... you can roughly count the seconds. I didn't use a stopwatch when I did it. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to press and depress the gas pedal completely. good luck

Welp, got it first shot this time...I think it read 102 which is MAF but I'm not positive. If it comes back on (which it shouldn't) I'll look into it again. Thanks a ton dude.

I did the same thing before. It may pop back up with the pedal reset method but if it does just ignore it till you park the car for the night and then dissconnect the neg. battery terminal overnight. That will reset the the ecu completely.

I'm gonna go drive a few miles around the block and see. Hopefully it won't come back. Overnight is tough for me because I drive a LOT and I honestly don't think I can get 12 hours of peace and quiet in my house.

The SES light is a pain in the butt. Its difficult to touch anything under the hood, and not get the SES light. I am tired of battling the damn thing. Its going to be ON forever. I may as well get used to it.

buy a code reader/clearer for ~50$. It will save you the headache from the stupid ECU reset method.

Well, after I got the timing right it wasn't much of a pain. It hasn't come on yet *crosses fingers*...car feels a tad stronger...maybe its just pyschological butt dyno.

yea that SES light can give you a headache over nothing. but yea, I did exactly what you did before too, and after the reset the light never came on, so you should be ok.
