Default Ticking Noise When Steping on Gas Pedal..HELP!

I get a tick tick tick sound whnever i step on teh gas pedal. happens all the time even when im in neutral! Never really heard it before. Sound can be heard when stepping on the gas and goes away once i hit approx 1000rpm (coincides with oil pressure reaching 30psi) anyone know what this is? sounds like its comming from teh engine bay.

i believe its what happened to me.
i hit about 4k miles when it started, was almost unnoticable at first.
eventually it got to the point that in the mornings (when it was cold), the ticking was happening throughout my entire car ride.
turns out it was cause i was VERY low on oil. dealer thinks that either it wasnt filled with oil when I bought the car, or there is a problem with the 06's.

hmmm...thats weird, i noticted it after i brough it to a place to change my oil. i check the level and its in between low and high. dunno what it could be tho. but i have a feeling it has sumthing to do with the oil pressure. do you still have the problem?

Could also be a leaking or cracked exhaust manifold.

i only hear it whenever i step on the gas pedal (whether in gear or neutral) at low rpms. the sound disappears after 1000rpm. the sound may still be there but muffled by the sound of the exhaust perhaps. but to my knowledge, it goes away after you hit approx 1000-1500rpm

btw, i have about 19k miles on the car. exhaust manifold or intake manifold cracks that fast?

Sounds like an exhaust leak. Have you bottomed out on anything recently. Exhaust leaks seem to exist early on in the RPM band and then they go away. I'd get it on a lift and check that out.

Have your dealer do the rear axle fix, mine was doing the same thing.

its not the rear axel tsb, i have that problem as well...this ticking happens when whenever your step on the gas pedal, even when your in neutral/idle

-it seems like its coming from the engine bay not the rear

Most likely exhaust leak just go to a muffler shop and have them look. I have an exhaust leak right now. It kinda hums at first then sounds like slight ticking.
