Default passenger windows does NOT work. please help

hi,

my passenger window does not work. I can roll the windows down fine, but it does not go back up. Therefore, I do not think the motor is busted.

Could it be the switch is bad? thanks

yeah it is the motor Mine did the same thing.

One way to get it to go back up is to have car on, open door, hold window switch up, and close door while keeping switch up. This only worked for a while before the motor was toast.

I tried it and it didn't work. Is it possible for the switch to go wrong? I have already order the switch. It cannot be returned after installation.
thanks

Should be the motor. Does your car have warranty?

I would try the switch 1st it seems its that all of us has suffered this. hold the switch up as if u r closing it and then tap the plastic where the switch is not the door but the same plastic it self thats what make it work for me.

is it possible for the switch to go wrong? How likely compared to the motor? I don't want to waste money to replace something still working.

thanks

I'd put money on the motor clogging up as described in the other thread on this topic. It's a fairly easy fix that you can do in about an hour with simple hand tools. See below thread for directions.

The hook or jeck i realy dont know what to call it for you the plastic thing that has the wiers attached to it and then it clips into the switch check this 1 out 1st then the switch then the last thing you will do is the motor. and talking about wasting money well i think if you check the switch 1st is cheeper than changing the motor.
If the wieres attached to the clips that goes on the switch r loose then the motor is not geting any electric current to work and by default you would think its the motor thats what i think is the cheepest to do and check for the moment. take care and i hope this was helpfull.
