Default Anyone in Canada got TRANNY replaced?

I just wonder anyone in Canada got your TRANNY replaced? and where? I just talk to one of the dealer in Toronto and they refuse to change my TRANNY. They said the grinding sound from TRANNY and Clutch rattle/vibration is normal and only the Z's in US got the TRANNY problem not including Canada. I really want to confirm this. Anyone in Canada has same experience and willing to share?

well, if your going to bring it into any dealership i'd bring it to morningside nissan (mc cowan and sheppard)

what year is your car?? what they will do is check your vin number to see if your car was made with the defective trannys.

that or just totally fawq u over and not do anything about it =(

It was a play on words..

No transmissions have been replaced on my Z yet. I have had to have them replaced before. I used a place called Cottmans, it is a national chain. They seem to have reasonable rates.

Wink

icic, haaa.......I learn something new today . 350ztoronto, My is 2004. did you change yours in Morningside Nissan? When I took my car to Alta Nissan in Richmond Hill, they have a Tech to test drive with me. after the test, he told me my tranny's grinding and clutch vibration was normal. unless it gets so serious that i can no longer shift the gear, in which case, they will replace the transmission

I guess I should try another dealer~

Thanx for the info guys!

I have my 2003 tranny with pedals replaced at Dixie Nissan (Mississauga). I didn't have any grinding, just the chattering noise when the clutch pedal is let off, but they still replaced it :P
Noway you can accept their bullshii (normal for Z), how could a griding tranny be normal?
