Default Service Engine Soon + VDC Off + Slip Lights

Anyone else have all 3 of these lights stay on at start up and your car won't rev? I then re-start and the "VDC Off" and "Slip" go off but, the "Service Engine Soon" stays on and it runs normally. This has now happened twice in the last month.

Hmm I had something similar happen a few weeks back and it was because the wires that were connected to my maf were rubbing against my strut bar base and causing a short.

If the car won't rev, it means you're ECU is falling into limp mode. What mods do you have?

Does the ABS light also come on when this happens? It sounds like it's time for a trip to the dealer.

I had a similar problem. My slip light, VDC off light, e-brake lights stayed on. I took it to the dealer and they said all they had to do was reset something. It took them a minute to fix.

Did your ECU go into limp mode?

That means your brake fluid is low. Those three lights came on when I changed my brakes and drained too much of the brake fluid. However, the OP has the check engine light on which is probably something totally different.

It's perfectly normal after you've had your car on the dyno. The back tires spinning and the front tires standing still freaks out the computer. After you drive for awhile and the computer sees normal signals, it shuts off the lights.

That's different than this happening during normal driving.

For anyone interested, the verdict is in. It was code P2135 which is Throttle Position Sensor Failure. The throttle body was replaced under warranty. On the short drive home from the dealer, it seemed to rev more freely.

This happened to me this morning too, I for some reason immediately checked my oil and it was fine. After I checked the oil, the VDC OFF and SLIP light turned off but the Service Engine Soon stayed on. Is it ok to drive to the dealership, I backed it up and it seemed fine…but I didn’t want to take any chances and just pulled right back into the garage and took my Jeep to work.

Per Nissan, if the SES light is not flashing, the car is ok to drive. You're fine to drive it.

Thanks, this is my first "new" car so it kinda scared me a little. I still have 2 years on the factory warrenty and I bought the extended warrenty, so nothing should come out of my pocket right?
