The engine sounded very horrible this morning when I started it up, while driving the steering wheel is making a creeking noise whenever you move it either direction and now there is an odd rattle that seems to be coming from my passenger side cup holder area on the door..

It is an 06 Enthusiast model with 5000 some miles

 

that is nothing, try not driving it for a year. plus that will happen with any car, not specific to the Z

 

i didnt drive mines for 3 weeks... then it decided that it wouldnt start anymore and died on me... so I started to try jumping it... none of the cars I used worked since they were too weak to turn over the big engine (other cars where 4 cyl). so I pushed the 2 ton beast up the hill in my development and try to cold start it.. didnt work. after 4 days of not starting i decided to get my friends big v8 truck and finally got it started.

Z's hate you when you dont drive them.

 

Your Z dosent HATE u, Its just a little cranky after being neglected, Wash it, Wax it and just the two of u go for a ride in the afternoon. Laugh about past good times, and future good times. All will be back to normal in a couple days and it will just seem like a bad dream.

 

hahahahahaha that cracked me up, i washed and waxed it and did the interior with 303 the last day i drove it, why would the steering wheel be making that noise?? it is quite annoying

 

i had the same problem after not driving it for 4 days.

 

as much as we can laugh at this.. the sad thing is that, it's just bad for problems to a new vehicle like this.

I drive mine once a week normally but there are times where I won't drive it for two or three weeks because of the weather (it doesn't do rain). I think I drove it in twice last week for the first time in nearly two years.

 

Annoying steering wheel noise ?? HMMMM Is it squeeking noise ? If so its just the upper brgings putting up a fuss, use will usually quiet them down. Just for a laugh, take some WD-
40 and spray ur universal thats in the open just before it goes into the Rack and pinion.

Thats what I meant, creaking ---I cant tell u why it happened or weather u are just now paying attention to it ( That Happens !! ) Little can be done with out disassembly and column disassembly is not for the weary. I can do the Saganaws and the Fords and Im sure the Nissans also but its expensive and generally done only when there is severe probs or a restoration.
Just consider it ur punishment for ur indescressions that week and just a reminder to NEVER do it again at least with out a Nanny to look in every day. Fraid u have to live with it
