How can we be so sure this is the injectors? Bare with me a second on this one.

If it was the injectors, they don't all fire at the same time, right? Really, what we woudl be listening to is just one injector, or one valve? But that doesn't make sense. Why would only 1 injector make this sound, or just one valve on all Nissan engines? If it would be all, if it was normal. The sound has to be coming from something in the engine that there is just one of.

If you hear one specific ticking sound like a valve check this... Have seen this to be the issue on many 350Z's... Nissan even has a article on it... If you feel the dampner it actually vibrates along with teh ticking noise...

IS IT THE FUEL DAMPER?

I've seen this, but they say the fix is only if you hear it on the interior. I don't hear the sound on the interior, only exterior. Could it still be the culprit? Has anyone had this fix and the sound on the exterior went down?

The sound ticks 6 times per second, meaning it's something that occurs every 2nd revolution of the engine. I doubt it's a valve or injector, cause if it was normal, like your guys are saying, you should hear all of them, not just one.

COULD IT BE THE FUEL DAMPER?

Has anyone report if they had this replaced? Did this fix your problem? Did you have any ticking sound outside your vehicle and it went away with this fix?

Hmm... I can hear it both inside and at the engine bay in my car.

BTW in my case it does not sound like your ticking, but more like knocking.
(more like tock'o'tock'o'tock' and not like clicky'clicky'click )

I haven't figured it out yet, but also hope its normal.
