Tonight i cleared my headlights with no major problems. After everything is done, i plug my headlights back into my car and and just the turn the power on to make sure all my lights are working, and they all work for about 30 secs and then the right headlight turned off and the left one started blinging. I then try to turn the car on and it sputters and does not turn on. Now my headlights wont turn on at all. Im thinking my battery might have died, but dont know how it happened. My capacitor for my amp is giving off this loud high pitched noise but its LED display is off. The window did not roll up after i closed my door and left my car in my garage..
Did my battery die? Someone have any clue as to what happened to my car? Thanks in advance...

Ok, don't flame, but i never jumped a car before. I know you connect the positive to positive and negatve to negative terminals of the batteries in both cars... Anything else i need to do to have a successful jump?

ok, i jumped it and everything seems ok now. The car started and all the lights and everything electric is working. Except my stupid capacitor is still off and making that high pitched sound.cI'm not sure why its still doing that. Kind of strange...
Thanks to everyone who helped me with input...

I disconnected the power source of the amp/capacitor from the positive side of the battery. The loud high pitch whine went away after a minute or two. I started the car a few times and left it running for some time. I just took the car out for a little test run and did some spirited driving and no problems. Ill have my amp, my cap and whole audio system checked out at the shop i got it installed from.
You think maybe the cap for some reason just drained my battery? Ive had that amp/cap for about a year now in this car and about two years in my previous lexus, and never had any problems with the setup. Its just strange in my mind...
