Default 2 Codes Thrown, Assistance Needed

my car decides to threw two codes today one of which put the car in safe mode where i couldnt rev it past 2000 rpms.

the first code was 805 which i have no idea what that was for.

the second code was 217 which im guessing has to do something with safe mode.

the car was getting very hot all day long to where the ac would kick out hot air and the temp gauge would spike very high.

i just moved to arizona from michigan and havent had the chance to move everything with me including the service manual i had, so i cant look those codes up.

if anyone can tell me what codes 805 and 217 mean, id greatly appreciate it.

check the fluids? Are the fans spinning on your radiotor? Oil? Check it out yourself then worry about the dealer. Car's break mang, cost money to fix them.

You either have a stuck closed thermostat or a big air bubble in the cooling system. Have you drained/refilled/flushed the radiator recently?

Sounds like a closed thermostat.

i was checking fluids today. i noticed 2 things.

1. i was low on radiator fluid. i topped off the fluids again and was still having the same problem.

2. there was a white build up in the radiator fluid.

im going to get a radiator flush soon and see what happens. i seriously hope its nothing serious. the timing could not be worse. i dont have the time to maintain and fuss with the car like i used to. i just might have to sell the car.

this car is going to kill me.

i was looking at the car again today and noticed that one of the radiator fans was wedged in. i didnt pay attention to it the first time around.

long story short. one of the radiator fans melted onto the fan motor, blew the fan motor and blew a fuse link.

$770 parts and labor. this car is falling apart and its not even 5 years old. no more nissan for me. am i saying that because im pi$$ed? maybe.

Sometimes, replacing low fluid is not the complete solution. You can have an air pocket in the cooling system and that will make it run hot. There is a bleed valve on one of the cooling hoses toward the back passenger side of the engine. You have to use it to get all the air out. It's a little tricky. Do you have a copy of the service manual? If not, PM me and I'll get you some info.

What kind of "white buildup in the radiator fluid"? Do you have a white scale on the interior of the radiator or is the fluid white and milky? Does it feel greasy or smell like oil? Are you using plain water or water/antifreeze mix?

After you fill the fluid you more than likely will have air in the system. There is a platic screw on a rubber hose behind the plenum on the passenger side. Be careful not to strip it, use a big enough screwdriver.
You have to uscrew that to let air out. After a few times of heating up and cooling down..letting out air in between the car should stay cool..IF that is your only problem. You must have been really low then as i only did this when installing my headers.
