One of the clips might have fallen off your brake pad causing it to shift slightly in the caliber when braking. Atleast that was the case with mine. I had the same clunk, but coming from the rear instead. Need new pads?

The clunk only happens on slow left turns, i am trying to find out more about it. It's hard to do it when my commute is only 3 miles

tmak, i had the same problem. In my case it was a loose ball joint. Talk to a front end guy at any shop he can have a look and tell you whats wrong. most likely you need to fasten some bolt(s) and it will go away.

i briefly played around underneath, didnt see anything loose, but i agree it is something loose. I will bring it to a shop in two weeks once I get my new rear link put in.

I'm having the same issues. Whenever I turn left or right at slow speeds I get a clunking/popping noise from the front of the car. Sounds like its coming from right below my feet. I put the car on jack stands and then turned the steering wheel all the way to the left and right. Was able to slightly hear the popping noise, but obviously since there isn't any load on the suspension it wasn't as loud. I also did this while the front sway bar disconnected so I'm pretty sure its a steering component.

Any updates OP? Any other people having similar issues? I also took a look under the car and couldn't see anything abnormal. The noise is driving me crazy!

Ok, my situation was a little different then what some people are experiencing in this thread. It was my front Hotchkis sway bar making that popping/clunking noise after all. I have the SPL endlinks, which I lengthened on both sides. I guess before I had them to tight. No more noise!!!

Something loose or a worn bushing in your suspension, the lower control arm bushings on these cars go out pretty often. Need to get it up in the air and get a thorough inspection of your suspension components.
