Default Oil pressure too high after oil cooler installed

Just installed recently, here's the setup

7"height Setrab AN-10 oil cooler
2x4' oil line AN-10 + Fitting
Mocal sandwich w/ t-stat
OEM nissan filter

now i have around 50psi @ idle and ~100psi @ 6000rpm
Is this consider normal??

You should get some posts from the peeps at FunctionTuned.. They are die hard oil cooler fanatics!!

No prob.. You can also type Function Tuned in the search thingy.. youll find alot of their threads about oil coolers and you could pm them also.. They are really cool approachable peeps..

u prob busted the oil pressure sensor that is located right behind the filter...

non-fi, i m just installing the cooler to see if it could cuz less oil burning... i had motul 300v for the last 3 oil changes and normally it burn ~1.5 quarts every 3000km

What year is you r Z? I have about the same oil consumption in mine but I'm FI.

Interesting question. I will installing the ARC cooler later this week. I'm hoping I don't run into any complications..

mine's a 03. i found it interesting that the oil cooler get pretty hot (can fry an egg) after 2 mins i started the engine, seems like it does its job. but is this thing gonna cure the oil consumption prob., i am really not sure yet. i m still on the first 300miles after it was put it my z

Those pressures are a little out of line, I would do a Mech chk on the oil pressure first or bite the bullit and shell out 60.00 for a new sending unit ---It will fail eventually anyways, although symptoms are generally a pegged gage.
In Toranto, I guess you almost have to run a thermostat, but that is the only culprit I could see it could be
