yeah i looked down at mine today... and noticed theres a new HUGE scratch... i was like GRRR DAMMIT!!!!! so i'm definitely gonna have to get the CF or something to cover it up. cause its horrible looking.
my driver door has the same problem. i had them replace it before buying it (used). I really wondered if it was the previous owner abusing it but now i know
I test drove the base 06 and the interior felt tacky. When I got in an 03, the interior looked the same except the feel. I know how you 05+ owners are going thru. Luckily the base 06 test drove was for a good day to see the possitives and negatives. Probably the best way is for the 05+ report to their dealership and then it might have Nissan Corp looking at the issue. And I mean even the 05+ 350z owners that doesn't have the wear and tear issue.
Yes, the imitation rubber coated pieces like the arm rest that houses the switches gets very gummy/tacky/sticky, like it reacts to the humidity or something. The slightest thing will then remove the finish............ poor design, nice in concept and feel when new .....poor durability.
My '05 has a couple of little marks/scratches on the driver side arm rest but that's about it. Hope mine doesn't get as bad as some of the pictures I've seen
This is ridiculous. You shouldn't be forced to pay extra for replacement CF pieces to cover up Nissan's horrible R&D. I'd give my dealer hell about it and threaten to go to NNA.
