Default Nissan dealer look at this:Just curious

Hey,
I took my car to nissan dealership today. They said the throttle body was messed up and they would replace it under warrarnty. No problem.
I ask them to look at my head lamps. They are so fogged up its insane.
They said no problem, We waxed them and they come clean. I call bs.
I wax my car monthly. It wouldnt come off with normal wax. Isnt there a bulletin on this issue? If so, link me? Seems like to me they should replace those junkers.
Lastly, Breaks were making god awful noise. Says i need new front pads
and new front rotors. 20k miles on the car and i baby the thing.
Keep in mind my tires have had to be replaced already too.
Just wondering if im getting ripped. Thanks

If you're brakes are making a god awful noise you probably have wore down your pads to the point of scoring your rotors, thats something you should have heard coming.

Dont know about the rest

My Z is a 2004. Yes, I knew there was a problem when i heard the noise thats why i took it in. The noise was there for a week or less but that was the quickest they said they could look at the car.
They are now telling me that nismo doesnt make brake pads for my car.
It is a base but I thought that they made non brembo nismo brake pads for the 350z. The guy ask me if my z was a nismo z. I was like no it just has nismo parts and he is like then you cant use nismo brakes.

depending on the "fog" on your headlights, it may just be exterior plastic and not internal. there have been quite a few threads about cleaning the headlights in this manner. if you have condensation on the inside of the headlight, that's a different issue.

your normal oem brakes use normal oem brake pads. don't worry about "nismo brakes".

Im not a hard braker at all. Thats why im asking these questions. I havent even spun the tires on my Z since ive had it. I treat that car like its a baby.
It gets only the best treatment which is why i nearly pissed myself when the dealer said the brakes and rotors were shot.
I dont mind replacing the brakes. I want something with a low dust compound anyways. The rotors though, That blows.

Needing brakes at that mileage is not uncommon. The rotors on the Z's do wear out early. 80% of Z's with over 18k on them need the rotors replaced....they wear too thin and develop too big of a lip on the edge to resurface. Each case is different. I've had people hard on their brakes not have to replace them till 30k, others that are soft on the pedal had to replace them at 13k. If you want pads with less dust try the Hawk HPS pads, low dust and noise. However, if you put new stock rotors on with hard pads, expect to replace your rotors even sooner next time. Look into some different rotors, most are no more expensive that the stocks.

Yes you can. About $140.00 for the pads.
