and what did they do to your car? maybe they changed your oil?

i start to think, maybe some engine cleaning stuff like Motul Engine Clean could help!

So, I beleive, no one tried cleaning those VTC solenoids? They are rather easy to remove, just need to take off coolant reservoir on my g35x '07

I know that this thread is going on for a couple of years now and no one has really found a good answer. I stared to have the same problem before i was deployed a few months back and have done nothing but try to figure the problem out. With that being said, I beginning to think that it could be a failing/failed coil pack. all the symptoms seem consistent and related to the stuttering. It will not always throw a check engine light as well. just my two cents.

thanks for sharing, though I don't think it might be connected with the coil packs, it is surely about the VTC thing...

p.s. anyone tried to clean those VTC solenoids yet?

Default vtc issues

there's no point of cleaning the covers

you guys will notice if you see the inside of VTC cover...

to resolve the sputtering issues you need to

replace the VTC Covers and gasket for both side

i mean, those VTC sensors (one in each cover) could be cleaned of some possible debris.

i might try to do it on my next oil change, but it won't be soon...

if your car sputters during warm up, VTC covers should be replaced to solve the problem...

Those VTC covers are so damn expensive... I beleive I can live with the sputtering another year or two for that price!

Well, at least we've got working solution. But still waiting any other info how to solve this problem!

sharing the information: yesterday before I changed my oil (as always, Motul 5w30 8100 Eco-Energy) I had put Motul Engine Cleaner into the engine and ran it for 15 minutes.

And this morning sputtering is almost gone, I could barely feel it! I know, it always happens after changing the oil, but I hope the sputtering will remain at the same level as it was this morning

well, I still barely feel the sputtering. Now it is on the same level, as it was right after my ECU updating for that issue with the ITB (though it returned after a year).

well, as expected, sputtering has returned after 1000 miles...

so, I beleive, I should try cleaning those solenoids, nothing else comes to my mind (I'm not ready for those expensive covers)
